For the second year in a row, Parts Life, Inc. has partnered with Visitation Homes in Philadelphia as a way to give back to the community! Each team member was given the opportunity to buy Christmas gifts, and the company provided a meal, and groceries for the women and children staying at Visitation. In total, 20 Mothers, and 29 Children were provided for! The team went to Visitation last night to serve dinner, and hand out gifts! Each family was left with a basket of groceries, and other necessities to make this Christmas season unforgettable. We would like to give a special "THANK YOU" to Johnny's Auto Maple Shade for your generous donations, and President & CEO Sam Thevanayagam and family for allowing this to happen. There were plenty of smiles and empty plates last night!
Visitation Homes provides a fresh start for families in the Philadelphia area. Visitation Homes, a ministry of Philadelphia-based Catholic Social Services, provides affordable housing for women who are transitioning from homelessness to independent living. With 20 units for mothers and their children to stay in while they begin the journey to self-sufficiency, Visitation Homes provides assistance to help the women work toward financial independence through employment, job training, and education.
