Moorestown, NJ – Parts Life, Inc. President & CEO Sam Thevanayagam was asked to speak at the DMSMS/DMC conference in Phoenix AZ last week. DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) are managed by a multi-disciplinary process embraced throughout the Department of Defense (DoD) to mitigate risks resulting from obsolescence. The DoD approach for DMSMS resolution is evolving to a much higher integrated and collaborative state to more effectively recognize and identify instances of DMSMS, assess the potential for negative impacts to readiness, analyze potential mitigation strategies, and implement cost-effective solutions. The conference was well attended by key industry leaders, and others who are working to solve obsolescence issues. Thevanayagam gave two dynamic presentations at the conference including a time of Q&A during the DMC Innovation Challenge.
