Parts Life, Inc. Showcasing Obsolescence Support @ Booth #35B at Tinker and the Primes 2023

Updated: Aug 3, 2023

Parts Life, Inc. is gearing up to sponsor, attend and exhibit at Tinker and the Primes 2023, happening from August 8th-10th at the Delta Midwest City Hotel at the Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Located at booth 35B, we will be showcasing our past performance in supporting reverse engineering and manufacturing of DMSMS parts and components for major military systems and subsystems.

With a strong industry foothold in DMSMS and reverse engineering of obsolete components, PLI is showcasing our past performance proficiency and the variety of ways our products are being used to increase mission readiness rates:

  1. Direct Engagement with the Air Force and OTA: Our final route to procurement sees PLI working directly with the Air Force, using Other Transaction Authority (OTA). This approach enables us to provide streamlined and reliable procurement processes, delivering timely, critical component support. From solicitation and pitch day to source approval and first article inspection, Parts Life, Inc. was able to successfully complete our initial TF33 Source Approval project in 12 months, and received production orders through SOSSEC consortium’s OTA project.

  2. Collaboration with DLA and SBIR Program: Working with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, Parts Life, Inc. has successfully reverse engineered and manufactured obsolete parts and components. In SBIR phase I & II, our team used enhanced reverse engineering capabilities, including material and 3D scanning, to reverse engineer 19 replacement parts and components for the B-52 bomber’s TF33 engines. To date, Parts Life, Inc. has 14 active or completed Phase III production contracts supporting critical components for various platforms, including the TF33 Engine, AGM-86B ALCM, MK48 Torpedo, and F/A-18 Super Hornet.

  3. Licensing Agreement with OEM: Our successful manufacturing, backed by licensing agreements with the OEMs, has enabled us to produce previously unavailable sole source replacement parts and components. This is testament to the quality, flexibility, and effectiveness of our manufacturing capabilities.

By offering an alternate source for replacement parts and components, creating 2nd sources and industry surge capacity, we've simplified the procurement process for our customers, extending the lifecycle of critical assets and improving readiness rates. Through the variety of development methods, Parts Life, Inc. has meticulously perfected our reverse engineering and product production processes to meet Air Force standards, while also facilitating cost effective parts acquisition.

Our record of becoming a source-approved manufacturer for over 150 parts and components in 36 months has propelled us to the forefront of obsolescence and DMSMS solutions. Our comprehensive team, combining engineering, business intelligence, and production strengths, have set the bar high by producing manufacturable engineering data and parts for superior quality products with reduced lead times.

PLI’s sister company, DeVal Lifecycle Support, will also be showcasing their expertise in mechanical manufacturing for armament and ground support equipment, remanufacturing of critical assets, and SLEP (Service Life Extension Program) to extend equipment life while reducing maintenance costs.

Visit us at Booth 35B to learn more about PLI's paths to procurement: from OTAs to licensing agreements and everything in between. Parts Life, Inc. is your trusted partner in extending the lifecycle of your critical assets and enhancing overall operational readiness.
